Bryan Namoff is retiring. The Namoff has been leashed.

According to DC United and his own Twitter feed, right back Bryan Namoff is retiring.  He was never able to fully come back from a concussion he suffered at the end of last season, and has decided to transition to the technical staff.  Namoff was a team leader and one of our best defenders.  He is third in terms of games played in the Black and Red.  Here's to a classy player, a champion, and long may he help the United teams of the future to prosper!

Namoff

Glad to hear he’s joining the ranks of the DCU alum coaching fraternity. Thanks Bryan for years of solid defending.

Good luck #26

Class act all the way through. Good addition to the technical staff.

I am sad he wasn’t able to get back onto the field. He was a joy to watch and always made the Black & Red a stronger team.

He deserved better than what he possibly witnessed tonight.

And I thought Tom Soehn was a shitty coach.
