Finally DC United fans have something to cheer about!  No, it's not that the team is out of the last place.  Because they're not.  But we can cheer because the Seattle Sounders are right down there with us!

We've had lots of incremental movement around the rankings recently.  Remember just two weeks ago when Kansas City was in the top tier and San Jose was in tier 3?  Both were in the second tier last week, and now they have swapped spots completely.  The Earthquakes continue to put together solid performances, including this week's 4-0 victory of fellow top tier occupants (for some unknown reason) New York.  The Wizards have rightfully dropped after handing DC their first win of the season.

But the biggest mover of the week was FC Dallas, who jumped from the bottom tier up to the second thanks to their big 6-point week.  A visit to Philadelphia this week will give them a chance to hold on to that spot.

Dallas

Maybe its just the bitterness speaking, but if FC Dallas is a playoff team, this league really is mired in mediocrity. A very inconsistent DC team basically took it to them all game and if their keeper hadn’t made some great saves and the woodwork even better saves… Sigh….
Usually when a team beats DC I see them as world-beaters, far better than they actually are. But in this case, ugh. I’d still bet on Seattle over Dallas to make the playoffs.
Would love to see DC crawl out of the bottom spot against expansion Philly for crying out loud. Gotta get the points…

I was kinda thinking that regarding FDC. I guess a road draw with Houston does a lot.

And it’s nice to have Seattle join us for some cellar dweller representation from the West.

They're coming.

sounders on the wrong coast

sad to see my sounders in the bottom tier. I guess with a 2-3-3 record it’s where we belong. wish we played in the East though. we’d be in 3rd not 8th…..

Wait, are you a doctor? Or do you live in Maryland yet support the Sounders?
